212 pairs of shoes were placed on the steps of Stormont to remember those who have died from addiction
Family members of those who have lost their lives to addiction pictured as the walk to Stormont to highlight the rising deaths in Northern Ireland.
This act of remembrance coincided with a vigil by families of those who have lost their lives as a result of addiction and who are calling for greater support from the government. "People who are caught up in addiction need help and support but waiting on waiting lists causes lots of problems because the person might overdose."calling for better access to dual diagnosis, better access to rehabilitation and crisis response.
"We also hear from families who are maybe worried about their son or daughter who have maybe been to their GP for support but have to wait.
