Frontier Parkway in Collin County opens after a $35 million facelift
“Wow! I’ve lived in Prosper over 20 years, and we used to have to wait at the rail road tracks, and the intersection was unsafe. Now it has been transformed into a $34.5 million roadway. It’s a dramatic improvement in traffic flow, and it decreases the response time for our first responders, allowing them to access the tollway quickly and more safely.
“It allows them ease of access to get over that railway without having to stop or find an alternate route,” Tubbs said. “Now they can consistently know that they’re able to travel over Frontier.” “This roadway will ease traffic congestion on one of our major east-west roads and provide greater and safer access to schools, neighborhoods and local businesses,” Bristol said via a news release. “I am grateful for our strong partnership with Collin County and the city of Celina, and I look forward to working together on future infrastructure projects as we all continue to lead through these days of unprecedented growth.
