Exile Content Studio's music division will provide touring and management services, but will also serve as a recording label and publisher.
Exile, whose founder is Isaac Lee, the former chief content officer for Univision, has already co-produced Netflix series, about Real Madrid’s women’s soccer team for HBO Spain; and children’s series, in addition to several podcasts. The music division, say executives, was a natural extension.
“Adding music is a natural progression with musical talent becoming their own brands and crossing artistic disciplines,” Norkin said in a statement. Uribe added, “We are proud to announce the expansion of Exile Content Studio with the creation of a new music division aimed at unlocking untapped commercial and artistic opportunities for new and established talent on the global stage.”
Exile has already signed two up-and-coming artists to its management arm: Dutch-born, Puerto Rico-raised female singer Bodine, and Panamenian-born Chicocurlyhead, who blends R&B, reggaeton, trap and pop in English and Spanish, and launched his new single on Feb. 18. On the touring side, Exile has booked performances for multiple artists, including Cypress Hill, Hanson and Monsieur Perine.
