Strictly’s Dan Walker insists Channel 5 move isn’t the end of his BBC career
The broadcaster added that he"really can't wait to get [his] teeth into this new challenge" and try something new.
"I want to make this news programme on Channel 5 as good as it possibly can be and make it something that is an appointment to watch, engages with its viewers and is something which sort of sets the agenda for the news programmes each night," he said. "We can make it a really special show I think. I can't wait to sort of shape it with the team, with the editor and the very creative bunch of producers and editors that we've got going on.
"So yeah, it's a big challenge and that's what attracted me to it because I want to do that but I also want to make other telly as well."
