Rodriguez allegedly sung when he met with two assistant U.S. Department of Justice attorneys and seven Drug Enforcement Administration agents on Jan.
29, 2014 — several weeks after he received his 211-game suspension for violating MLB’s performance-enhancing drug policy.
Prosecutors essentially gave Rodriguez immunity to snitch on players and others involved in the use and trafficking of steroids. During the meeting, Rodriguez admitted for the first time that he used PEDs, which he purchased from Bosch. He had previously denied it publicly. According to the report, he told investigators he paid roughly $12,000 per month to Bosch for “testosterone creams, red, gummy-like lozenges containing testosterone and human growth hormone” from 2010-12. Bosch was paid in cash — and A-Rod occasionally used petty cash obtained from the Yankees traveling team secretary — who was not involved in the scheme.
Rodriguez also told the agents his cousin, Yuri Sucart Sr., had supplied him with performance-enhancing drugs for at least a decade. The revelations won’t help Rodriguez, who already unpopular with former players and teammates. He works with Hall of Famers
