Prosecutors said Harris and Johnson took three cash bribes from the man in June 2018. One of the bribes occurred outside the city’s police station while the officers were in uniform, prosecutors said. Former Chief Scott Gardner was charged with theft and tax-related charges in August. Gardner was fired on Oct. 7 when his replacement, Brian Gerhard, was sworn-in as chief.
