All R1Ts come standard with all-wheel drive. In the base model, you get one motor for each axle. Upgrade to the quad motor option and you get a motor for each wheel. Each motor is controlled separately, so the Rivian can maximize acceleration in slippery or high-speed situations.Rivian claims that dual-motor R1Ts make"over 600" hp and"over 600" lb-ft of torque. Quad-motor trucks make 845 hp and 908 lb-ft of torque.
