Euclid City Schools released a statement Tuesday on its Facebook page that this week’s game will not happen, as superintendent Christopher Papouras stated Solon “has chosen to forfeit the game instead of making the journey to Euclid Community Stadium.” Solon athletic director Jim McQuaide confirmed later Tuesday night the school does not intend to play Friday at Euclid and provided the following statement from his district, which views the game as a cancellation.
