The stage for the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle has been revealed – and it's pretty grand 👑
New images have now revealed exactly where they’ll be playing, as mock-ups show the stage in all its glory.
Released by the BBC, the pictures show a stage lit up in red, white, and blue against the background of the East Terrace of the castle.The Union Jack lights up the stage in mock-up images released by the BBC Also, the stage will have a halo-like screen surrounding the roof, which the broadcaster has confirmed is to ‘symbolise the Crown protecting the nation.’
Audience members won’t have to worry about not having a good view either, as the stage boasts four additional catwalks, which also form a flag shape, meaning all performers can be seen close up.In fact, much of the design of the stage centres around the orchestra.The historic Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla will take place in Westminster Abbey on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
