Desmond seemed to understand complexities about housing and county reserves better than Boyd-Hodgson, but she had more comprehensive answers about the cannabis industry, the climate, COVID-19 and homelessness.
While such duties are not yet in her job description, she noted she had volunteered for groups that were distributing vaccines to Spanish speakers and taken part in the Regional Task Force on Homelessness’ annual Point-In-Time Count. If Desmond wins, we hope his messaging improves and is more consistent. But his response that he would approach the pandemic the same way again, his lack of knowledge about new boosters and Boyd-Hodgson’s scientific thinking proved decisive.
