Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh - ‘I chose Tracy’s wedding dress two weeks after mine’
With her trademark red lippy, Emmerdale's Queen of Sass Tracy Metcalfe is back and ready to cause chaos in the Dales once more. Tracy, played by Amy Walsh, left the village following her break-up with Nate Robinson and took their baby daughter, Frankie, away for a fresh start in Nottingham.
Tracy’s new man is a mystery, but also on their way to the register office is her ex-boyfriend, Nate. As he gets suited and booted, Moira and Cain worry he’s about to do something rash like engage in a custody battle. “I think that’s true to life – if you have a child with someone, there’s always going to be that pull towards each other, and they still have that sexual chemistry. It was teased then, and it’s not too crazy to think that it might happen again.”
“But equally you’re bound to want to pick one that suits your shape, so it’s a funny one. I tried to go against what I would have, a bit ‘Tracyfied’ but a bit more mature. It was fun. I had input into hair and make-up as well. Tracy just gets it a little bit wrong. We’ve tried to ‘Tracyfi’ it up a bit with some bling and extreme hair and make-up and stuff.”
“I said to my mum a couple of days ago that I’ve never felt more at home than I have here. Maybe that’s because I’m almost on home turf. It’s the Northerners, they get my stupid sense of humour.”“I thought I used to be tired, but now I’m like, ‘How has everyone been doing it?!’” she exclaims. “It’s hard, I’m not going to lie, because my child’s not been sleeping at the moment, that’s tricky.
