Emmerdale viewers were left stunned on Thursday night as it appeared that Caleb Milligan was perhaps indeed too good to be true on the hit ITV soap.
However, Caleb soon earned the family's trust by getting Cain, who had pleaded guilty for Al Chapman's murder despite it actually being his son Kyle Winchester responsible, out of prison. However, it looks like Cain had a right to be initially suspicious of Caleb because as the episode ended Caleb made a suspicious phone call to a mystery person.
Taking to Twitter, soap watchers wondered whether the real Caleb had actually died and the newcomer was using his identity while working as an undercover police officer to get Cain. A different account put: "Caleb looking like an undercover cop felt like it was coming for a while… HE PROBABLY ISN’T EVEN THE REAL CALEB DINGLE - I bet the real Caleb died!!! #Emmerdale Calling it now!"
