BORIS JOHNSON'S government has increased taxes by the same amount New Labour did when they were in power, a think tank has found.
This is the equivalent of two percentage points of GDP, which is roughly the same size overseen by Tony Blair when he was the Labour leader and even more than when Gordon Brown was in power.
