A n elderly man is in 'serious condition' in hospital following an alleged attack at a house in Preston.
He was taken to hospital later that day but is now in a serious condition. A 37-year-old man from Preston was later arrested on suspicion of assault and criminal damage and has since been charged.Austin Duckworth, 37, of St George's Road, was due to appear at Preston Magistrates' Court this morning for offences of Section 18 assault and criminal damage. Detectives say 'both parties are known to each other' and are appealing for anyone with information to get in contact.
"We attended and found the occupant of the address, a man in his 70s, with minor visible injuries. However, he was taken to hospital later that day and is now in a serious condition.
