The youths were allegedly shoplifting - with unconfirmed reports the staff member was reportedly attacked during an evening shift.
An Aldi worker has reportedly been injured by a gang of youths who went on an alleged rampage through a Scots store.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.35pm on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, police were called to a report of a disturbance involving a small number of youths at a shop in the Cultins Road area of Edinburgh. Enquiries are ongoing.” Chief Inspector Mark Hamilton blamed a 'small minority' of youths for the attacks and assured 'focused patrols' are being launched to hunt down those responsible.
