An easyJet flight from Glasgow Airport was forced to make an emergency landing this morning after a passenger on board fell ill.
The EZY3107 flight, which left for Alicante at 9.36am on Tuesday, had to divert to Birmingham after a passenger became unwell. Crew issued a squawk 7700 code, which is used to signal on board emergencies, as images showed the aircraft turning around above Wales.The aircraft was met by paramedics when it landed at Birmingham Airport at around 10.30am before the passenger was taken to hospital for treatment. Their condition is currently unknown.
“Paramedics met the aircraft on arrival where the passenger was transferred to hospital and the flight continued to Alicante. The safety and well-being of our customers and crew is always easyJet’s highest priority."
