But, it turns out that his Walford exit storyline isn’t even firmly decided yet, with the actor in deliberations with show bosses.
Danny has already branded the exit as ‘epic’ and he stands by that, but he told us on the Soap Awards red carpet that certain details – such as how final it may be – aren’t yet ironed out.‘We’re negotiating what I think should happen and what the powers that be think should happen’ And, while it was always believed that Mick would not die, it sounds like it may not be as off the table as we think.‘It’ll be an epic ending. And I think I want to put a full stop on the job, and I think it’s been an amazing 10 years I’ve had, I’ve loved every minute of it.Speaking initially about the decision to leave, Danny had said: ‘I’ve been contemplating a while now about whether time to roll the dice, take the leap.
He explained during an episode of podcast Sorted with the Dyers: ‘The news is that I’ve not decided to renew my contract, that’s all, it’s not because I’ve fell out with anybody, that job has been amazing for me.Over and out! Well, once it’s decided on how Danny first rocked up in Walford back in 2013, when Mick and Linda arrived in the Square to take over the Queen Vic.Ricky Champ , Danielle Harold , Barbara Smith , Dayle Hudson and Kelsey Calladine-Smith are being written out in a major cast shake up.
