EastEnders fans were left on the edges of their seats this week, when Walford icon Cindy Beale made her permanent return to the show for the first time in 25 years, after teasing her return earlier this Summer.
So who exactly is Cindy Beale? Cindy Beale, the villainous character famously brought to life by actress Michelle Collins , is the former wife of long running character Ian Beale. Cindy later entered into a relationship with Ian Beale, which saw her give birth to twins Peter and Lucy Beale, before things soon turned sour and Cindy strayed to find love with a man named Nick Holland.
In exchange for helping the police, Cindy was given a new identity and allowed to build a new life for herself in Spain, which is where she adopted the name Rose and embarked on a whole new family life after meeting bar owner George.
