It's vital to notify the Department for Work and Pensions if you're heading overseas, as failing to do so can interfere with your benefit payments. He explained: "While you may enjoy the flexibility of travelling abroad while receiving Universal Credit, it's important to remember that certain obligations, such as job search activities, still apply."You must stick to your claimant commitment, including fulfilling work-related requirements, even during overseas travel.
He added: "This includes those in the intensive work group, who are expected to dedicate 35 to 37 hours a week to job search activities, which remains unchanged during holidays or trips abroad.
