Households claiming Universal Credit, Income-based Jobseekers Allowance, Income-related Employment and Support Allowance, Income Support, Pension Credit, Working Tax Credit Child Tax Credit will be eligible to receive it
The Department for Work and Pensions is to start paying millions of people a £300 cost of living boost in one week.
It is the second of three cost of living payments totalling £900 that are being issued by the government over the current financial years. An earlier payment of £301 was made in April while a £900 will be paid next spring.The new payment coming next month is aimed at providing relief amid the rising cost of living. It can be used to help afford things such as rent, food, bills, and other basic necessities.
