A driver with a car breathalyzer was charged in an alleged Tuscaloosa DUI crash that seriously injured a man.

The crash happened about 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Lurleen Wallace Boulevard North and University Boulevard, said Tuscaloosa police spokeswoman Stephanie Taylor. The driver of the Chevrolet, 47, was transported to DCH Regional Medical Center and is still being treated for serious injuries.
Court records show Brooks pleaded guilty in February 2019 to a DUI. He was given two years suspension and required to have an ignition interlock device, often referred to as a car breathalyzer, installed on his vehicle for three years.
