It happened Saturday afternoon in the 14100 block of Normandie Avenue, at 141st Street and north of Rosecrans Avenue.
GARDENA — A male driver died Saturday in Gardena after his vehicle crashed into a wall and he was ejected.
The crash was reported at 1:02 p.m. in the 14100 block of Normandie Avenue, at 141st Street and north of Rosecrans Avenue, according to Gardena police traffic Sgt. Daniel Guzzo. The preliminary investigation revealed the driver was southbound on Normandie when he crossed over into northbound lanes and crashed into a wall on the northeast corner of Normandie and 141st Street, Guzzo said.
Paramedics took the injured driver to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, the sergeant said. His identity was under not immediately available. Anyone who saw the crash was asked to call Guzzo at 310-217-6122 or Investigator Jose Zamudio at 310-217-6189.
