One passenger involved is currently in hospital
A 20-year-old man from Northampton has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a collision near one of the town's most-popular parks yesterday morning, Sunday, March 19. with serious injuries.
Emergency services attended the scene and unconfirmed reports said the section of Park Avenue South running through Abington Park was closed.One passenger, a 19-year-old man from Northampton, sustained a serious injury and was taken to hospital for treatment. This injury is not believed to be life threatening or life changing.
A spokesperson from Northants Police said today : "A 20-year-old man from Northampton was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and being unfit to drive through alcohol. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
