Part of the M6 will remain closed for several hours for the complex recovery of a lorry following a major crash and fire

Traffic was originally stopped in both directions but the southbound carriageway has now been released.As of 1pm, traffic caught within the closure was being turned around from the rear of the queue. Some traffic near to the crash will soon be moved past the incident.Road users are advised to follow the Hollow Triangle diversion symbol on road signs.Continue along the A5 westwards to its junction with the A449 The lorry caught fire following a collision.
