Franklin County state senator has a proven grassroots following. His immediate efforts are aimed at keeping it intact, and interested.
For now, Mastriano needs to keep the grassroots army that rallied to his campaign in last year’s Republican primary interested and intact, first to try to influence the battery of school board, local government and judicial races that will fill the state’s ballot in 2023.
“Messaging is important... and we had 2.2 million people which is the highest in 60 years, since William Scranton. And the second-highest in the state’s history,” Mastriano said. The easiest path for Mastriano would be to seek re-election to a second full term as a state senator. Mastriano represents Franklin and Adams counties in the state Senate.
