Lemon, Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins will take over the network's morning program later this year.
Lemon will be joined by Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins on the new show that will have a new name — replacing the current “New Day” later this year.
Licht, who took over CNN in April, said revamping the morning show is a priority for him. He has experience in the time period, having developedthe influential Beltway program with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, and “CBS This Morning” while at CBS. Harlow, who joined CNN in 2008, is currently co-anchor of the mid-morning program “CNN Newsroom.” She recently earned a Master of Studies in Law from Yale.
