A multi-agency response worked together in a race against time to get them back in the water at Monifieth beach.
The alert was raised by Aberdeen Coastguard around 11.15am on Wednesday morning after the dolphins were spotted at Monifieth beach.
The RNLI in Brought Ferry also worked alongside British Divers Maritime Life Rescue volunteers and despite re-beachings, they were able to get rescue the two dolphins successfully within 90 minutes. Broughty Ferry Lifeboat posted: "On 5/7/23 at 1115hrs approx. Aberdeen Coastguard requested the launch of the Inshore Lifeboat to assist in the refloating of two stranded dolphins in the vicinity of Monifieth beach.
