DJ Kay Slay is dead at 55 after a battle with COVID
DJ Kay Slay, whose real name was Keith Grayson, had reportedly been hospitalized with the coronavirus since December and placed on a ventilator.
Also known as “Dez,” “The Drama King” and “Mr. Smack Your Favorite DJ,” he released six major studio albums during his career, including 2003′s “The Streetsweeper, Vol. 1,″ featuring collaborations with Eminem, 50 Cent, Nas, Wyclef Jean, Flipmode Squad, Fat Joe and Cam’ron. His most recent release, 2021′s “The Soul Controller,” included songs with Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, Raekwon, The Game and Buffalo rappers Benny the Butcher and Conway the Machine.
