Resendez said he’s “been past” Johnson’s endorsement of his opponent. “My goal is to serve in the best interest of District 5, and that means I have to be willing to work with all elected officials,” he said.
“This younger generation needs to know how to address conflict without gun violence,” Williams said. Her campaign website also includes equipment updates for first-responders as a priority.that Resendez, who is a member of the council’s public safety committee, “has failed to take the opportunity and advantage on that committee to improve public safety.” He pointed specifically toResendez disputed that, saying street racing has been a focus since he was elected to City Council.
“We’re very limited on public space as far as parks and recreational needs,” he said. “There’s no place for a social environment where you can actually come together with your neighbors and have dinner with your family at the same time.”
