Dispersal order in place as two men injured after string of 'violent crimes'
A dispersal order has been put in place in Droylsden today following a string of 'violent crime' in the Tameside town. The order follows reports of two men being taken to hospital with injuries after an incident yesterday .
Police have now put a dispersal order in place across the area until 6pm on Saturday . The order gives police the power to stop and search individuals within the defined area during this time period.The order has been introduced following recent incidents of violent crime in the past week in the area and surrounding areas, a spokesman for GMP said.
“Extra patrol officers have been deployed around the local area both on foot and in patrol cars. If you have any concerns about this incident our officers will be happy to provide reassurance and listen to any of your queries.”
