Diogo Jota has embraced the intense competition for places in Liverpool's front line and has successfully forged his own reputation at Anfield. With five goals in 11 appearances this season, Jota is content with his form.

"When I first came here, everyone talked about the best trio in the world. But everyone is different. Obviously, we have a lot of variety now. That is helpful and everyone is scoring, which makes life harder for the opponents. In the end that is what we want - to win games. And while only two have come in the Premier League this term, the 26-year-old is happy to net regardless of competition. "Nah, I think scoring is always important," he says. "Sometimes I start games, sometimes I don’t. Playing time, I just need to take advantage when I am on the pitch so I am scoring."
"Yeah, that is the responsibility of playing in a team like Liverpool," says the Portugal international. "Obviously people are expecting us to win all the time and especially these kind of games and we as professionals have to prove that on the pitch. That is the hardest part but I believe here at Anfield we can win the match.
