Blizzard have confirmed that the Diablo 4 servers are having connectivity issues due to a DDoS attack Diablo4 Blizzard
Diablo 4 players have been noting their difficulty in trying to play the game over the last 24 hours. The issue has now been confirmed by Blizzard as being a DDoS attack. While Blizzard says they are actively working to mitigate the issue, it’ll likely be at least a few more hours until the Diablo 4 servers are back to normal.
Taking to the Blizzard forums yesterday, a number of players posted their inability to actively connect to the Diablo 4 servers with usersaying, “Can’t log in to play this evening. game stats unable to find a valid license file?” The thread kept growing and growing, as more players began to also note that they were also not able to access the servers, with brief moments of connectivity only to be kicked out.
account said, “We’re currently investigating an issue affecting our authentication servers, which may result in failed or slow login attempts.” Alongside this, we were given more context into what this issue was as Blizzard’s PC hosting platform, Battle.net, displayed a message today saying, “We are currently experiencing a DDoS attack, which may result in high latency and disconnections for some players. We are actively working to mitigate this issue.
These issues are still ongoing so there is no indication as to when players will be able to hop into Diablo 4 again but in the meantime keep an eye on our piece,
