The Devils drafted Reilly Walsh in the third round of the 2017 NHL Draft.
Walsh, a 2017 third-round pick who has spent the past three seasons with New Jersey’s AHL affiliate , is set to be a restricted free agent this summer and will lose his waiver exempt status in 2023-24. Should he ink a new deal this offseason, Walsh would have to compete against a stacked right-shot defenseman group that features Dougie Hamilton, John Marino, 2022 second overall pick Simon Nemec, among others.
