In this week’s North Royalton Police Blotter, police observed a weaving Volkswagen traveling 43 mph in a 35-mile section of Royalton Road.

Drunken driving Royalton Road:

The officer told the officer he was all over the road, to which he apologized. The problem was the sleeping passenger was falling asleep on his arm. After failing a field sobriety test, during which he swayed and lost his balance, the man was arrested for drunken driving.The driver was also cited for drug abuse possession of drug paraphernalia and weaving.On Sept. 1, police observed a speeding black SUV traveling 50 mph in a 35-mph section of Royalton Road.While talking to the driver, who said she was purposely following the vehicle on the way home from Cleveland, the officer smelled booze.

During a search of the BMW, police found numerous empty cans as well as an empty bottle of Fireball in the glovebox.
