Denver weather: Sunny, dry and unseasonably warm weather in the metro area and along the Front Range will raise fire concerns this weekend along the Intestate 25 corridor. cowx
Above-normal temperatures are likely for widespread areas, including the Eastern Plains, on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, according to the National Weather Service. High temperatures will climb to record or near record marks across much of the region. On Monday, high temperatures are expected to be above 80 degrees on the Eastern Plains. The combination of unseasonably warm and dry weather will raise fire concerns.
The weather service has posted a Red Flag Warning for fire danger starting at noon Saturday along the southern Front Range including Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Cañon City and south to Trinidad. “Near critical fire weather conditions will occur across the I-25 corridor and Palmer Divide starting this afternoon into the early evening,” the weather service said.
In Denver on Saturday skies will be partly sunny as the high temperature tops out around 78 degrees, according to the weather service. Skies will be mostly cloud overnight with a low temp near 44 degrees.
