Denver weather: Snow is in the air as Old Man Winter lingers in the metro area, along the Front Range and in the mountains.
In Denver there’s a 70% chance of precipitation Saturday, according to the National Weather Service forecast. Daytime snow accumulation will be less than a half inch and the high temperature will be about 39 degrees. On Saturday night snow is likely, with minimal accumulation — less than one inch — and a low temperature of 21 degrees.
Snow accumulation in the northern mountains through Saturday night will be in the 6- to 12-inch range above 10,000-feet elevation, with 3 to 6 inches along lower mountain elevations. On Sunday in Denver the snow is expected to ramp up, with up to 3 inches of new accumulation possible as the high temperature tops out at about 31 degrees, according to the weather service.
