Southport Theatre and Convention Centre is being flattened to make way for the Marine Lake Events Centre. It comes after planning approval for the scene was given the green light in April.
The company behind the STCC, Bliss Space, was forced into liquidation citing the "devastating" trading conditions caused by the pandemic. In April 2022 items from the theatre were listed at auction including four bar units, a piano and theatre seats.
