Delta Air Lines Inc. said it is taking the first step toward eventually offering free Wi-Fi with a two-week test run on dozens of domestic flights later this month.

On Delta, it currently costs a passenger as much as $16 to connect to the internet for a day within North America and $28 for a global day pass.The amount of noise you hear on a flight depends on the plane, your seat and how you prepare.
