A delivery driver has been assaulted and his van full of parcels stolen in a 'distressing' daylight robbery.
Lancashire Constabulary said the van 'contained a number of parcels out for delivery' and the driver was 'shocked but fortunately not physically injured'. An appeal has been launched to trace the vehicle and the robber, who is described as a white man with a stocky build and shiny face, wearing a black or navy-blue puffer jacket.In a statement issued last night, a spokesperson for Lancaster Area Police said: "We are appealing for information after a robbery in Lancaster.
"The driver was shocked but fortunately not physically injured. The offender is described as a white man, stocky build, shiny face, wearing a black or navy-blue puffer jacket."
