Alli then took to social media to reassure fans thatand still loves the game but he has to improve to get more time on the pitch.
He would’ve hoped to show some of his form and commitment in the Christmas Day fixture between Besiktas and Gaziantep, but he didn’t get that chance as he was an unused substitute.Alli has been struggling to show his best for several years having once been one of English football’s brightest prospects when he was emerging at Tottenham.
Since the end of Mauricio Pochettino’s tenure, Alli has struggled to replicate that and has been out of favour under managers that succeeded the Argentine like Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte. There was hope he could get back to his best while at Everton last year, but that didn’t happen, and it’s been much of the same in his short time in Turkey with Besiktas.
