Defender Adam Masina has completed his move to Serie A side Udinese.
Although the fee has been announced as undisclosed, it’s my understanding it’s a deal worth in the region of €5m to the Hornets. The 28-year-old Moroccan international joined Watford from Bologna in July 2018, and made 90 appearances, scoring three times. Masina made 15 appearances in the Premier League last season, the majority of the coming in the first half of the season before he played for Morocco at the African Cup of Nations.He will probably be best remembered for his goal direct from a free-kick, deep into stoppage time at Cardiff City in March 2021 which secured a vital 2-1 win as the Hornets won to gain promotion.
