The two-hour episode includes an interview with Darrin Ruben Lopez, who was convicted in the 2020 killing of Jamie Faith.
During the trial, attorneys clashed over whether Lopez plotted with Jennifer Faith to kill her husband or whether she lied and manipulated Lopez. In federal court last year, she was sentenced to life in prison without parole for orchestrating the plot.In Friday’s report, Lopez tells Mankiewicz that when he committed the fatal shooting, it felt like he was on a “mission in the military,” adding, “I was doing what I had to do to protect Jennifer.
The episode also includes interviews with detectives Chris Walton and Eric Barnes, federal prosecutor Rick Calvert and defense attorney Juan Sanchez, according a release from NBC.
