The latest Nottingham Forest comment as the Match of the Day pundit criticises Man City star
Danny Murphy admits he was surprised by Rodri’s red card as Nottingham Forest made Man City work hard for their sixth successive Premier League victory. Not surprised so much at the fact he was shown it – more so by the fact the Spaniard reacted in the way he did after a coming together with Morgan Gibbs-White.
However, Forest kept their composure, made sure they weren’t swept away as they had been in the corresponding match last season and by the time the game resumed after half time it was once again a live Premier League fixture. Match of the Day pundit Murphy admitted it was out of character. “What we saw in the first half was another demonstration of his wonderful ability, in all aspects of midfield play,” Murphy said. “I am not sure what triggered him because although it is a nudge in the back from Morgan Gibbs-White there is really no need for the hands round the neck and once he does that there is really not much he can argue with that.”
