Nash was a fixture of the Dallas community after 29 years as the senior pastor of thein Dallas. He was also president of the Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance of Greater Dallas and Vicinity for more than 25 years.
“We lost a legend,” said Rev. David E. Wilson, senior pastor of Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church and current President of IMA in a released statement. “Our membership and the Dallas community will miss his insight and caring for the community.”Born in Phoenix, Ariz., Nash grew up in Oklahoma before moving to Texas in 1969 to attend Bishop College. He later went on to earn two master’s degrees and two Ph.D.s from the Aspen Theological Seminary in Aurora, Colo.
