Placid Refining says it will spend $66 million on the relocation and modernization of its existing facility in Port Allen, La.
Placid spokesperson Tyler Gray toldthe company will move up to 50 of its employees to Baton Rouge, though he declined to specify how many will relocate from the Dallas and Port Allen sites. He said the “entire leadership team” is moving from Texas.
The modernization of the company’s Port Allen facility is expected to occur over five years. The state offered Placid a performance-based tax credit of up to $500,000..
