The Dallas Mavericks will unveil his statue with a ceremony on Dec. 25, the team announced Friday.
The ceremony will take place at American Airlines Center South Plaza at 11 a.m., a few hours before the Mavs host the Lakers on Christmas Day. Fans in attendance for the game are encouraged to come early and watch the ceremony live from the jumbotron inside the arena. Doors will open at 10 a.m.“Dirk has done so much for the game and for our city,” Mavs owner Mark Cuban said in a team press release.
