Acting as a prequel to HBO's wildly successful Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon chronicles the events of the Targaryen civil war known as the Dance of the Dragons. The show takes place almost two hundred years before the Game of Thrones episode 1 and introduces audiences to a host of new characters.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY The latest episode of House of the Dragon has been the most action-packed yet, with Daemon's war against a figure known as the Crabfeeder , the leader of the Triarchy, heating up. The ruthless new enemy, as his name suggests, nails wounded enemy soldiers to wooden posts and allows crabs to feast on their flesh. The latest episode of House of the Dragon, however, sees Daemon institute a daring plan to take the Crabfeeder down.
From his introduction in the premiere of House of the Dragon, Daemon has been something of a wildcard in the series. After Rhaenyra is named heir to the throne, Daemon largely becomes estranged from his family, embarking on his own quest of violence in the Stepstones.
While also giving viewers a handful of very impressive action sequences, the latest episode of the show also further establishes the divide between Daemon and King Viserys . Daemon's decision to undertake his risky maneuver in House of the Dragon episode 3 comes only after Viserys offers to send troops to assist him in his fight, proving not only that he still very much feels at odds with his family, but also that he's a man who doesn't take kindly to any perceptions of weakness.
