Dad goes on trial again accused of murdering two week old baby by shaking her with 'abusive level of force'
A dad allegedly left his new born daughter like a 'rag doll' after shaking her with an 'abusive level of force', a court has heard.
Ms Connolly took hold of the baby and "saw something unmistakably was wrong," Mr Storrie said, before calling an ambulance. Felicity-May was rushed to hospital but died from catastrophic brain and spinal injuries three days later. Mr Storrie KC told the jury that the injuries caused could only have been caused by shaking Felicity-May "violently" and were "inflicted traumatically" and that the baby would have been "in distress and in true pain". "She would have been like a rag-doll," he added.
She said she began 'running around like a headless chicken' with seconds feeling like hours. Ms Connolly said she asked Harvey what had happened and he said he 'didn't know', but explained that he had picked her up to feed her and she had looked at him and smiled before her eyes rolled back into her head.
