Jason Lawrenson was just 38-years-old when he attempted suicide for the third time, an attempt that ended in his death on Monday, July 31. Found by his sister, Jade Lawrenson, at his home in Broughton near Preston, she said that a number of factors in Jason's life led to the deterioration of his mental health.
The final time Luna escaped the dog "injured a sheep," by "nipping" the animal so Jason's beloved pet was seized by authorities. Luna was eventually returned to Jason after her protested and she was back with her owner and Jason's other dog, Ivan. "It was hard to watch, but he did it. Obviously, this took a toll on his mental health and he never actually got over it and how he was treated."

Jason was found by his sister, having passed away on Monday, July 31, his third suicide attempt having tried to end his life only the weekend before. Jade said her brother was discharged from hospital after the second attempt, with no after-care or long-time plan in place.
Jade also laments on her brother's passing and how "eerie" it is to walk around Preston and meet people Jason knew. She says "no one had a bad word to say about him," but it's difficult for the sister when she's asked how the family are doing.
