A man is charged with terroristic threats and criminal mischief after threatening to kill a woman in Chambersburg and dumping gasoline over her front porch, according to police.
William Adkins, 47, of Shippensburg, threatened to burn down a Chambersburg home on the 200 block of North Main Street at around 7 a.m. on Monday, according to Chambersburg Borough Police. Adkins threatened to kill the woman inside and spray-painted derogatory words on the sidewalk and porch, as well as the home, according to police.
District Judge Duane Cunningham arraigned Adkins for terroristic threats, criminal mischief and harassment, and set bail to $15,000. Unable to post, Adkins will remain in the Franklin County Prison until his preliminary hearing Sept. 13.
